Soya Hiems is a San Francisco–based fantasy author raised in a biracial family shaped by different cultures and perspectives. She writes character-driven stories set in worlds shaped by conflict, morality, and the tension between light and darkness, where the line between good and evil is rarely clear.

Her work explores identity, loyalty, survival, and the choices people make when forced between duty, desire, and destruction. Often centered around morally complex characters and emotionally charged conflicts, her stories move through fractured worlds where power, belief, and human nature collide.

When she’s not writing, she’s chasing late-night food, building playlists to match a mood, or getting lost in stories that blur the line between comfort and obsession.
